How PhilHealth contributions are computed in 2026
The PhilHealth premium rate for 2026 is 5% of the member's monthly basic salary. The income floor is ₱10,000 and the ceiling is ₱100,000, so the total monthly premium ranges from ₱500 to ₱5,000.
For employed members, the employee and employer normally split the premium equally. Each pays 2.5% of monthly basic salary, subject to a minimum share of ₱250 and a maximum share of ₱2,500.
Self-earning, professional, voluntary and other direct contributors generally pay the full premium themselves. The table below is a quick reference; always check the amount on your PhilHealth account or billing statement before paying.
- Monthly premium = monthly basic salary × 5%, subject to the ₱10,000 floor and ₱100,000 ceiling.
- Employee share = 2.5% and employer share = 2.5% for employed members.
- A salary below ₱10,000 still uses the ₱10,000 income floor, producing a ₱500 total monthly premium.
- A salary above ₱100,000 is capped at a ₱5,000 total monthly premium.
- Bonuses, overtime pay, allowances, reimbursements and similar non-basic pay are generally excluded from monthly basic salary for premium computation.
