Quick answer

For a standard employee earning ₱10,000 or more a month, regular Pag-IBIG savings are ₱200 from the employee + ₱200 from the employer = ₱400 monthly. The employee rate is 1% at ₱1,500 and below, or 2% above ₱1,500; the employer rate is 2%. Both shares use a salary base capped at ₱10,000.

The 1% employee rate applies only at ₱1,500 and below. Figures are monthly and rounded to centavos. Salaries above ₱10,000 use the ₱10,000 cap; voluntary extra savings are not included.

When the standard split does not apply

Self-employed members under mandatory coverage pay both shares. Household workers earning below ₱5,000 have both shares paid by their employer. Other earning groups, non-working spouses, voluntary members and overseas workers may have different counterpart arrangements. Confirm your membership category rather than assuming everyone must pay ₱400.

Check the savings actually credited to you

At the standard maximum, twelve posted monthly payments put ₱4,800 into your regular savings before dividends: ₱2,400 from you and ₱2,400 from your employer. Your payslip shows your deduction, not necessarily proof that the combined amount has reached Pag-IBIG. Compare it with your posted savings in Virtual Pag-IBIG.

Sources and methodology

Rates, salary cap and special-category rules: Pag-IBIG Fund Circular No. 460, sections B–C, effective February 2024. Read a copy of the circular. The table applies those rates to illustrative salaries; it is not an official Pag-IBIG-issued schedule.

How to read the Pag-IBIG contribution table

Unlike SSS, Pag-IBIG does not round your salary into fixed contribution brackets. Regular monthly savings are a percentage of your Fund Salary, capped at ₱10,000. The rows above are worked salary examples, not official salary bands.

Fund Salary includes basic salary and other allowances as defined in Circular No. 460. For a standard employee earning ₱7,500, the calculation is ₱7,500 × 2% = ₱150 from the employee, plus ₱150 from the employer. At ₱25,000, only the first ₱10,000 is used, giving ₱200 from each side.

The ₱10,000 maximum Fund Salary took effect in February 2024; it is not a new 2026 increase. Before the change, the ₱5,000 salary cap meant a usual maximum of ₱100 from each side. The current standard maximum is ₱400 combined, not a ₱400 deduction from the employee.

  • Monthly employee share = capped Fund Salary × 1% for salaries up to ₱1,500, or × 2% above ₱1,500.
  • Monthly employer share = capped Fund Salary × 2%. Employers must not deduct their counterpart from the employee's wages.
  • You may voluntarily save more in Pag-IBIG I. Your employer is not required to match the additional amount.
  • This is regular Pag-IBIG I savings. MP2 is a separate voluntary savings program and does not replace mandatory contributions.
