What is a BRSTN?

The Bangko Sentral Routing/Transit Number (BRSTN) is a 9-digit code assigned by the BSP that identifies each Philippine bank for clearing transactions through PESONet, InstaPay, and local cheque clearing. Use it when sending money between local banks or when a form asks for a "routing number" in the Philippines.

What is a SWIFT/BIC code?

A SWIFT/BIC code is an 8 or 11-character international code identifying a bank worldwide. Use it for international wire transfers — for example, when an OFW sends money from abroad to a PH bank account. Most PH SWIFT codes end in PHMM.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the BDO bank code?

BDO Unibank's BRSTN is 010530667 and its SWIFT/BIC code is BNORPHMM. Use the BRSTN for local PESONet/InstaPay transfers, and the SWIFT code for international remittances into a BDO account.

What's the BPI SWIFT code?

BPI's SWIFT/BIC code is BOPIPHMM. For local transfers, BPI's BRSTN routing number is 010040018.

What's the Metrobank BRSTN?

Metrobank's BRSTN is 010269996 and its SWIFT code is MBTCPHMM.

Do GCash and Maya have SWIFT codes?

GCash does not have its own SWIFT code — international remittances are routed through partner banks (commonly via partner aggregators). Maya Bank (the licensed digital bank behind Maya Wallet) uses SWIFT MYBKPHM1.

What's the difference between PESONet and InstaPay?

InstaPay is real-time and limited to ₱50,000 per transaction; PESONet is batch-cleared (same-day for cut-offs before 3pm) with no per-transaction cap — better for large or business transfers.

Where can I find the official list?

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Philippine Payments Management Inc. (PPMI) publish the official directory of PESONet and InstaPay member banks. We keep this page synced with that list.

What is the Landbank SWIFT code and routing number?

Landbank of the Philippines uses SWIFT code TLBPPHMM and BRSTN 010350039. OFBank, its overseas Filipino digital bank, uses OFRBPHM1.

What is the UnionBank routing number?

UnionBank of the Philippines' BRSTN is 010419995 and its SWIFT/BIC code is UBPHPHMM. UnionDigital Bank is a separate institution with BRSTN 010820015.

Is a BRSTN the same as an ABA or IBAN?

No. BRSTN is the Philippine equivalent of a US ABA routing number, but the two are not interchangeable. The Philippines does not use IBAN — for inbound international transfers you supply the SWIFT/BIC code plus the full account number and account name.

Do I need a SWIFT code to send money to the Philippines?

For a bank wire, yes: your sending bank needs the recipient bank's SWIFT/BIC code, the account number, the account name, and the branch address. Remittance apps such as Wise, Remitly or WorldRemit handle the routing for you, so you only need the account number or mobile wallet number.

How many digits is a Philippine bank code?

A BRSTN is always 9 digits. A SWIFT/BIC code is 8 or 11 characters — Philippine codes typically end in PHMM (head office) or PHM1/PHM2 for digital banks.

How to find and use your bank code

  1. 1. Pick the right code. BRSTN for local PESONet or InstaPay transfers; SWIFT/BIC for international wires into a PH account.
  2. 2. Search this directory. Type the bank name, BRSTN or SWIFT code above, or filter by bank type — universal, digital bank, or e-wallet.
  3. 3. Copy it. Tap any code to copy it straight to your clipboard, then paste it into your transfer form.
  4. 4. Confirm before large transfers. Verify the code and branch details with the receiving bank for business or high-value payments.
